Internet Relay Chat or IRC for short is a communications system used these days largely by geeks, technical folk and die hard IRC'ers from the past. You can read more about it by visiting the Wikipedia Article I have linked about.

IRC TESTING!

Just for a little fun, below you can see a web based IRC client that is hosted by KiwiIRC. The server is a test IRC server running on a Raspberry PI with a 700MHz CPU and a huge 256MB RAM oh and it's storage is a massive 8GB SD Card. Talk about Super Computer, having said that the specification of the computer that got the Astronauts to the moon was a little lower:
